Oscars 2025: The Hidden Gems on the Red Carpet

It’s that time of the year again! The 2025 Oscars are back, sweeping down the rose gold carpet with all the drama and glam we’ve come to expect. But let’s be real: this night isn’t just about the awards—it’s about the head-turning fashion statements straight from the Hollywood’s finest. Once again, the stars have proven that the Oscars are just as much about style as they are about cinematic triumph. From daring designs to timeless classics, this year’s premiere is full of looks that had everyone talking.

An Iconic Opening with Archive Elegance

Our all-time favorite Wicked duo, Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo, didn’t just open the ceremony with a breathtaking performance—they also delivered a masterclass in archival fashion. Cynthia Erivo stunned in a custom Vivienne Westwood wedding dress, Love Is Blind from 1997, while Ariana Grande dazzled in a sparkling Schiaparelli creation, featuring an iconic touch: a ruby slipper detail sewn onto her dress’ back, a nod to Dorothy’s legendary shoes from The Wizard of Oz (1939).

Pink is taking over this season!

Tonight, in an unexpected twist, nude-pink dominated the Oscars, taking over this year’s nominees with undeniable force. The red carpet itself set the tone, but the real statement came from the stars with peachy-pink perfection as Ariana Grande stunned in a custom Schiaparelli masterpiece, while Selena Gomez embodied Old Hollywood elegance in a Rosemont crystal-embellished Ralph Lauren gown. Meanwhile, A Complete Unknown rising star Monica Barbaro lit up the night in a dreamy pink Dior ballgown.

Back to Black: The Power of Dark Elegance

While pink ruled the carpet, black still remained a statement of timeless elegance. Chanel muse Lily-Rose Depp made her Oscars debut in a custom black floral lace halter dress, drawing inspiration from Chanel’s Spring 1995 couture collection. Substance star Margaret Qualley also turned heads in Chanel, wearing a silk velvet black dress—stepping away from her signature girlhood-inspired looks.

And the Oscar goes to… the best-dressed men, who departed from the classic black suit!

Of course, we love when men get creative with their looks. Even though he missed out on becoming the youngest Best Actor winner, we couldn’t miss Timothee Chalamet’s classic suit in trendy butter yellow, while Jeff Goldblum added a touch of whimsy in floral Prada. And for those who prefer to stick with black? Playful accessories are the way forward. Omar Apollo’s veil moment was proof that even the most traditional silhouettes can be reimagined.

This year’s Oscars red carpet was a clash of past and future—archival nods, bold risks, and reimagined classics. Hollywood’s biggest night reminded us that fashion is never still. The only question now: what comes next?
