Contributor Terms & Conditions
All article pitches must be submitted via email to our editorial team. If your pitch is accepted, you will receive a deadline, word count, and any specific guidelines for your piece. However, acceptance of a pitch does not guarantee publication, as the final decision rests with The Citizen’s Poste’s editorial team.
Once an article is submitted, it may be edited for clarity, tone, grammar, and structure to align with The Citizen’s Poste’s editorial voice. Major edits will be discussed with the writer before publication. Writers must submit their final piece as a Google Doc with editing access granted by the agreed deadline.
All submitted work must be original and unpublished elsewhere at the time of submission. By submitting your article, you grant The Citizen’s Poste exclusive first digital publishing rights for 60 days. After this period, you may republish your article elsewhere, provided you include credit and a link to the original publication on The Citizen’s Poste. Plagiarism or AI-generated content is strictly prohibited.
At this time, The Citizen’s Poste does not offer monetary compensation for guest contributions. However, accepted writers will receive full byline credit, exposure to our audience, and promotion across TCP’s platforms.
The Citizen’s Poste reserves the right to promote your article across social media, newsletters, and other digital platforms. We may also use excerpts or quotes from your article for marketing purposes.
We expect all contributors to maintain a professional and respectful approach throughout the editorial process. Hate speech, defamatory content, or unprofessional conduct will result in immediate termination of contributor privileges.
The Citizen’s Poste reserves the right to remove or modify published articles at any time if necessary. If an article is removed, the writer will be notified.
By submitting a pitch or article to The Citizen’s Poste, you confirm that you understand and agree to these terms.
