Contributor Terms & Conditions
At The Citizen’s Poste, we welcome insightful, stylish, and forward-thinking writers who bring a fresh perspective to fashion, culture, and the evolving world of industry tastemakers. If you have a sharp editorial eye and a compelling story to tell, we’d love to hear from you. Before submitting a pitch, please review our Contributor Terms & Conditions to ensure a seamless collaboration and alignment with our editorial standards.
Contributor Terms & Conditions
By submitting any written or visual work to The Citizen’s Poste, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to the following terms. These apply regardless of whether the submission is unsolicited or the result of editorial outreach.
All submitted work must be original and unpublished at the time of submission. The Citizen’s Poste reserves the right to accept, decline, or withhold publication of any work at its sole discretion. Submitted materials may be edited for clarity, grammar, structure, and alignment with our editorial voice. Substantive edits will be communicated prior to publication where applicable.
By submitting your work, you grant The Citizen’s Poste first publishing rights (digital or print) for 60 days. After this period, contributors may republish their work elsewhere with clear credit and a link to the original publication. You also grant us ongoing, non-exclusive rights to archive and promote the piece across our digital platforms including but not limited to our website, social media, and newsletters. We may also excerpt or visually reference your work for editorial or promotional purposes. Contributors retain ownership of their work and moral rights to proper credit.
Contributors affirm that all submitted work is their own and does not infringe on the rights of any third party. If your work contains third-party media (e.g. photography, screenshots, or other non-original visuals), you must have explicit rights or permissions to use and publish that material, and you must include proper image credits and sourcing. Responsibility for copyright clearance and licensing lies solely with the contributor. The Citizen’s Poste may request proof of licensing prior to publication.
Final publication is contingent on the completion of an electronic Contributor License & Release Agreement. No content will be published without a signed release confirming rights, licensing, and publication terms. This applies to both solicited and unsolicited submissions.
At this time, contributors are not compensated financially. However, accepted contributors will receive full byline credit, exposure to our readership, and editorial promotion across The Citizen’s Poste platforms. Participation also offers consideration for future print and digital feature opportunities.
We do not accept submissions that contain hate speech, plagiarism, AI-generated content, or defamatory material. All contributors are expected to maintain professionalism throughout the editorial process. Unprofessional conduct or violations of these standards may result in the revocation of contributor status and removal from publication consideration.
By submitting your work, you agree to indemnify The Citizen’s Poste, its affiliates, and its team members from any claims related to unauthorized use of copyrighted materials or third-party IP. If a dispute arises, legal responsibility rests solely with the contributor.
Submission of any material to The Citizen’s Poste constitutes agreement to these terms. For all inquiries, contact: hello@posteposteposte.com.
